PAME (All Workers Militant Front) that represents the class trade union movement of Greece expresses its solidarity to the working class of India for their General Strike on September 2nd.
The last years India is shown as an upcoming financial power. But the immense wealth produced does not go to the people. In contrast, it becomes even more provocative contradiction between a small minority that lives in extreme wealth and the vast majority of the people who live in poverty. Also in Greece, till a few years ago, the political forces of the capital supported that financial growth; the participation in imperialist organizations such as the European Union would lead to better life for the people. However, the inevitable capitalist crisis came to prove them wrong. Either in growth, or in crisis of capitalism, the workers will be the victim for the profits of the monopolies. Against the capital our weapons are Organisation, Resistance and Fight for our Rights.
PAME expresses the solidarity of the class trade union movement of Greece to the Strike called by the trade union organizations of India, affiliates of WFTU, and we wish you all success to your struggle.
