Mobilization at the Public Power Corporation (DEH) headquarters in Athens took place on September 3, by federations and unions after a call by PAME. The mobilization denounced the government’s decision to impose increases of 16% to 19% on electricity bills and also to proceed with the full privatization of the DEH, which will mean layoffs and power cuts in thousands of poor households, who are unable to meet the already very high electricity bills.

At the same time, the class forces condemned the attitude of the DEH administration, which, while aware of the protests and the unions’ request for a meeting, attempted to hide.
