PAME participated in the successful 13th Congress of the TUI of Public Services and Allied Workers of WFTU, which took place in Cyprus on November 16-17, hosted by SIDIKEK PEO.

The Congress, with the participation of dozens of delegates from unions from all continents, gave the opportunity to public services workers to discuss about the problems they face, to organize their struggle and coordinate their action against privatizations and for free and high quality public services for all. The Congress concluded with the election of new leadership and decision on the TUI’s plan of action. The Congress elected the new General Secretary of the TUI PS, comrade Zola Saphetha from NEHAWU, South Africa and comrade Babis Vortelinos of PAME, was re-elected as TUI PS Vice President.
