PAME denounces the Government of Kazakhstan for the continuing persecutions against trade unionists and militant workers.

On December 16, it will be eight years since the massacre of strikers in the Kazakh city of Zanaozen, with dozens dead. Today, eight years later, the Kazakh government continues the persecution and arrests of militant workers and trade unionists; it continues to impede trade unions and workers’ activities.

We demand respect for the democratic and trade union rights of Kazakhstani workers. The immediate release of all imprisoned and persecuted trade unionists.

PAME will always stand by the people of Kazakhstan and support its righteous struggles.
