The class-oriented trade unions, federations and regional trade union centers mass associations across the country express their opposition to the imperialist intervention in Syria

The class-oriented trade unions, federations and regional trade union centers call upon the workers to be in a state of readiness in order to dynamically and massively respond against the preparations for the imperialist intervention in Syria and also against the Greek participation in it. They stress that the Syrian people are the only one who can solve their problems, demanding no involvement of the Greek government in the intervention.

El PAME que representa el movimiento sindical de clase de Grecia, expresa su apoyo y su solidaridad con el compañero Hubert Ballesteros Gómez, exige su inmediata libertad y el cese de la persecución y represión contra el movimiento popular.

The government, the capital and the E.U. attack again against our wages and pensions, our social security rights, they proceed to new cuts in state spending on medicines, health, education and more. They impose new hard taxes; they exterminate us with the suspensions – dismissals, they threaten us with the confiscations and the auctions even of our primary residence.

Their aim, if we will not stop them, if we will not overthrow them, is to make the labor force even cheaper and to increase the profits of the monopolistic groups.

This attack concerns every worker, self-employed, poor farmer.

It is a huge lie that new antipopular measures will not come. These measures are neither fragmentary nor the last ones.

All those who argue that through the renegotiation of the debt as a solution in favor of the people will be given, deceive us.

They seek to ensure the popular consent in order to gather and give money to the big capital so that they will continue and increase their profiteering.

The dilemma “new loan or a new haircut of the Greek debt” that is preserved by the government, SYRIZA and the other parties, together with the E.U. and the IMF is spurious and disorientate the people. Any choice or compromise for the rescue of the capitalist economy, people will be forced to pay very expensive through new antipopular measures.

No more spurious hopes for the development that comes. This development even when if it comes, it will keep us again in a state of poverty.

As long as the economy is designed to serve the profits and not the satisfaction of the popular needs, people will not have progress; either the government will be central-right, or central-left.

You have gained experience NOW. NOW you can not believe:

THAT business profits secure jobs or that if you will not complain, you will be saved. This is evidenced by the 1.5 million unemployed who have paid these profits with their unemployment. Profits and massacre of the workers go together. Profits and popular prosperity are incompatible.

THAT we will return some time in the future in the situation before the crisis. Things will continuously get worse.

THAT out from the European Union would be worse. For the sake of the E.U. and of the monopolies you lose your job, wage, pension, health, education, even your home.

THAT the investments which are coming will solve your problem. These investments are set up on starvation wages and will employ very few people. TRUTHFULLY, what kind of private investments can employ 1.5 million unemployed?

 

YOU MUST NOT TOLERATE THE LESS EVIL BECAUSE YOU ARE ALSO PREPARING FOR THE WORST.

YOU MUST NOT REDUCE YOUR DEMANDS. THIS DOWNHILL WILL NOT HAVE AN END.

Dear colleagues,

The more we bend to our knees, the more they will trample our rights. The capital will continuously ask for more by the workers. Whatever sacrifices we may do, the capitalist crisis deepens in our country, in Europe and internationally.

Working class has the right on its side and has also the power to impose it. It can, together with the other popular strata, lead Greece on the path of progress and prosperity for all the people.

This perspective, however, requires strong organization in the workplaces, in the sectors, strong Popular Alliance of the working class with the self-employed of the city and the village, the young men and women.

It requires the isolation of the old and new employers’ trade union leaders, who compete with each other in tricks and immoral methods on how they will subjugate the labor movement and its struggles in the rotation of the governments and not in the overthrow of the antilabor policy. They are afraid of the dynamic of the class-oriented struggle.

Effective struggle means conflict with the employers, means first of all conflict with the capitalist employers in the basic sectors, means conflict and rupture with the E.U. That is what they don’t want. That is what they are afraid of.

Effective struggle means denouncement of the racist – Nazi conceptions of the “Golden Down”.

 

The unity of the working class must be strengthened

 

We do not need a unity that seeks the cooperation with the employers, which will propagandize the competitiveness, the capitalist development, which will lead working class to “social dialogue”, which will lead us to the logic of feasible, of realistic, of acceptance that changing the crisis manager can lead us to the way out from the dead ends.

 

We need a unity which will rally the working class against the capitalist employers, the laws and their state.

 

A unity that will help the workers to throw away the governmental and employers’ trade unionism.

A unity that will orientate to the alliance with the other poor popular strata.

A unity that will target not only the struggle for individual improvements, but also for the satisfaction of all the contemporary needs of the working family, for the overthrow and the abolition of the exploitative relations.

With solidarity and support, we give our hand to anyone who wants to get up. We make practice the slogan:

NOBODY WILL FIND HIMSELF BEING ALONE, ONE FOR ALL AND ALL FOR ONE.

A way out from crisis in favor of the people means destruction of the cause which gives birth to the crisis. It means socialization of the monopolies, disengagement from the E.U. and the other imperialist organizations and unilateral cancellation of the debt with popular authority.

People must not have illusions and expectations.

There is a solution:

No dejan nada en pie. Caen como buitres sobre los derechos de los trabajadores, intensifican el ataque a los salarios, los derechos de seguridad social y de pensión, con más recortes en los gastos públicos para medicinas, Salud, Educación y demás. Nos exprimen a través de impuestos y tasas que imponen, nos matan con los despidos, nos amenazan con expropiación de nuestros bienes y hasta sacando a subasta la primera casa de la gente.

Su objetivo, si no los paramos, si no los derrocamos, es que se convierta todavía más barata la fuerza laboral y que suban las ganancias de los grupos monopólicos.

Este ataque concierne cada trabajador, cada autónomo, cada campesino pobre. Es una mentira descarada de que no habrá más medidas antipopulares. Estas medidas no son parciales, y por supuesto no serán las últimas.

Nos engañan aquellos que sostienen que con la re-negociación de la deuda se dará una salida a favor del pueblo.

Lo que quieren es garantizar la aprobación popular a fin de recolectar y canalizar dinero al gran capital, para que éste siga el aumento de su rentabilidad.

El dilema “nuevo préstamo o nueva reducción de la deuda” – que mantienen el gobierno, SIRIZA y los demás partidos, junto con la UE y el FMI – es falso y está desorientando el pueblo. Cualquier opción o concesión para el rescate de la economía capitalista, la pagará carísimo el pueblo a través de nuevas medidas antipopulares.

Basta ya con las promesas engañosas sobre el desarrollo que viene. Este desarrollo, aún cuando llegue, nos tendrá de nuevo en la pobreza.

Mientras la economía está planificada para servir las ganancias y no la satisfacción de las necesidades populares, el pueblo no va poder medrar, cual sea el gobierno que esté al timón, sea centro-derecha o centro-izquierda.

YA tienes experiencia. YA no puedes creer:

 

QUE las ganancias de las empresas son garantía para tener empleo, que si no protestas te salvarás. Lo prueban el 1,5 millón de desempleados que han pagado estas ganancias con el desempleo. Ganancias y masacre de los trabajadores marchan a la par. Ganancias y prosperidad popular NO marchan a la par.

QUE vamos a volver algún día a las condiciones antes de la crisis. Lascosasempeorarán.

QUE fuera de la Unión Europea sería peor. Para ella y para las ganancias de los monopolios pierdes trabajo, salario, pensión, salud, educación, hasta tu propia casa.

QUE las inversiones que vienen resolverán tu problema. Dichas inversiones están basadas sobre salarios de hambre y darán trabajo a muy pocos. DE VERAS, ¿cuáles inversiones privadas pueden absorber 1,5 de desempleados?

 

 

NO TOLERES EL MAL MENOR PORQUE ESTÁS PREPARANDO LO PEOR. NO DISMINUYES TUS EXIGENCIAS. ESTA CAÍDA NO TIENE FIN

NINGUNA ILUSIÓN-NINGUNA TOLERANCIA-NINGUNA SUMISIÓN

 

Compañeras, compañeros,

Entre más bajamos la cabeza tanto más nos van a pisotear. El capital no se harta. Cuantos sacrificios que hagamos nosotros, la crisis capitalista se agudiza tanto en nuestro país como en Europa y en el mundo.

La clase obrera tiene la justicia de su parte, y tiene también el poder de imponerla. Puede, aliada con los demás estratos populares, encaminar a Grecia hacia el progreso y la prosperidad de todo el pueblo.

Sin embargo, dicha perspectiva requiere buena organización en los lugares de trabajo, en los diferentes sectores, requiere una fuerte Alianza Popular entre la clase obrera, los autónomos en la ciudad y en los pueblos, y los jóvenes.

Requiere la aislación de sindicalistas paternalistas, viejos y nuevos, que compiten entre ellos en trucos y desvergüenzas, a fin de someter el movimiento obrero y sus luchas en la alternancia de gobiernos en vez de luchar para el derrocamiento de la política antipopular. Tienen miedo a la dinámica de la lucha de clases.

Luchas eficaces significa enfrentarse a la patronal, significa ante todo enfrentarse a la patronal capitalista en los sectores básicos, significa enfrentarse y romper con la U.E. Es eso que no quieren. Es eso que temen.

Luchas eficaces significa condenar las percepciones racistas-nazi del “Amanecer Dorado” (partido nazi).

Que se fortalezca la unidad de la clase obrera

No necesitamos una unidad que nos llevará en los brazos de la patronal, que propagará la competitividad, el desarrollo capitalista, que conducirá la clase obrera al “diálogo social”, que nos llevará a la lógica de lo factible, lo realista, de la aceptación que el cambio de administrador de la crisis nos puede sacar del callejón sin salida.

Necesitamos una unidad que agrupará la clase obrera frente a la patronal capitalista, sus leyes, su Estado.

Unidad que ayudará a que los trabajadores se quiten por encima los reventadores de la patronal y de los gobiernos.

Unidad que va dirigir hacia la alianza con los demás estratos populares pobres.

Unidad cuyo objetivo será no sólo la lucha para mejoras parciales, sino la satisfacción de todas las necesidades modernas de la familia obrera, el derrocamiento y suspensión de las relaciones explotadoras.

Con solidaridad y apoyo, damos la mano a quien quiere levantarse. Llevemos a la práctica la consigna:

NADIE SE QUEDARÁ SOLO, UNO PARA TODOS Y TODOS PARA UNO

Salida de la crisis a favor del pueblo significa destrucción de la causa que la genera. Significa socialización de los monopolios, desvinculación de la UE y las demás organizaciones imperialistas y cancelación unilateral de la deuda con poder popular.

Que el pueblo no tenga ilusiones y esperas.

Es conocido que Siria es un obstaculo a los planes de los imperialistas norteamericanos y europeos sobre el Nuevo Medio Oriente, es decir el control de los recursos productivos de la región, especialmente en la actualidad en el contexto de la crisis capitalista.

La intervanción militar contra Siria amenaza ¨ahogar en sangre¨ los pueblos del Medio Oriente y del Mediterráneo Oriental.

El movimiento sindical clasista de nuestro país está en contra de la guerra imperialista y de participación de nuestro país.

Expresamos nuestra solidaridad con la clase obrera y el pueblo de Siria.

  • Que no se de ningúna facilidad a los EE.UU, OTAN, UE y sus aliados en cualquier operación militar contra Siria o cualquier otro país en la región. Que no se disponga en los imperialistas la infraestructura militar que se encuentran en nuestro país (como el aeropuerto militar de Kalamata)

  • Que no participan las fuerzas militares griegas en la nueva guerra imperialista.

It is well known that Syria is an obstacle to the plans of the American and European imperialists for the New Middle East, i.e. the control of the productive resources in the region, especially today in the background of the global capitalist crisis.

The military attack against Syria threatens to “steep in blood” the peoples of the Middle East and of the Eastern Mediterranean as a whole.

The class-oriented trade union movement of our country is against the imperialist war and the participation of our country in it.

We express our solidarity with the working class and the people of Syria.

The people of our country have fraternal bonds with the people of Syria.

PAME calls upon the trade unions to demand from the Greek government:

  • The base of Souda to be closed now.

  • Not to provide any facility to the USA, NATO, E.U. and their allies in any military operation against Syria or any other country in the region. The military infrastructures located in our country (like the military airport of Kalamata) not to be available to the imperialists.

  • The Greek military forces not to participate in the new imperialist war.

  • Any military cooperation with Israel to be stopped.

Today Wednesday, August 28th, PAME with other organisations held a protest in front of the U.S. embassy expressing their opposition to the impending imperialist intervention in Syria.

The delegates handed a letter of protest to the U.S. embassy Charge d’affaires, in which the opposition to the impending war against Syria is expressed; the U.S.A. – NATO – the EU and its allies are starting this war, with the agreement of the Greek two- party coalition, which grants them, for another time, everything for the realisation of the imperialist war plans.

It is noteworthy that initially the police prevented the delegation to approach the embassy. After strong protests, the police retreated and the delegation delivered the letter to the Charge d’affaires.

Once again, we express our solidarity with the people of Syria.

Η στρατιωτική  επίθεση κατά της Συρίας απειλεί να «πνίξει στο αίμα» τους λαούς της Μέσης Ανατολής και συνολικά της Ανατολικής Μεσογείου.

Το ταξικό συνδικαλιστικό κίνημα της χώρα μας είναι ενάντια στον ιμπεριαλιστικό πόλεμο και στη συμμετοχή της χώρας μας σ’ αυτόν.

Εκφράζουμε την αλληλεγγύη μας στην εργατική τάξη και το λαό της Συρίας.

Ο λαός της χώρας μας έχει αδελφικούς δεσμούς με τον λαό της Συρίας

Το ΠΑΜΕ καλεί τα συνδικάτα να απαιτήσουν από την Ελληνική Κυβέρνηση:

  • Να κλείσει τώρα η βάση της  Σούδας.

  • Να μη δοθεί καμία διευκόλυνση στις ΗΠΑ, στο ΝΑΤΟ, στην ΕΕ και τους συμμάχους τους σε οποιαδήποτε πολεμική επιχείρηση κατά της Συρίας ή άλλης χώρας στην περιοχή. Να μην διατεθούν στους ιμπεριαλιστές οι στρατιωτικές υποδομές που βρίσκονται στη χώρα μας (όπως το στρατιωτικό αεροδρόμιο της Καλαμάτας).

  • Να μην συμμετέχουν οι ελληνικές στρατιωτικές δυνάμεις στον νέο ιμπεριαλιστικό πόλεμο.

  • Να σταματήσει κάθε στρατιωτική  συνεργασία με το Ισραήλ.
