The PAME Secretariat ,

The  Communist Party of   Pakistan and the its allied fronts of Peasants , farmers , Trade unions , Progressive writers Association , Youth Front ( DSF – Democratic Students Federation , Communist Youth Federation of  Pakistan ) ,Pakistan Peace and Solidarity Council , are unonymously shocked over the very coward , biased and injustice decision of the Court , awarding 23-24 months incarceration to 24 vanguard Steel Mill workers comrades . We denounce this audacious decision of the Greek Court ,demand immediate repeal of it ,absolving the charges nominated worker comrades from all farce charges and express our profound solidarity in this hour of hardship .

We are very certain these wicked tactics of the bourgeois will never ever break the strength and determination of PAME and the working class in Greece ,rather these repressions will awaken the working class and find PAME its redeemer .

We workers at the factory Norrland foundry, who financially supported the striking steel workers at the steelworks Ellinihi Haliverja in 2012, have now been told that 24 of the strike leaders were sentenced to nearly two years in prison.

The strike was widely reported in Greece and internationally, as it simultaneously turned against the EU and IMF.s method to place the blame for banks’ speculative crash on the working people.

The verdict against the 24 steel workers is an attempt to scare workers into silence so that they do not even dare to think the thought about fighting for their right.

It is gratifying that the Greek people despite oppression and threats do not let themselves be intimidated into silence. On April 9, the same day as the steel workers were sentenced to jail the latest general strike to place. The radical union front PAME organized strike demonstrations in 60 locations in the country.

Dear friends and comrades,

Everyday´s reality of current capitalism confirms that, amidst of this unfair social order to be based on the man-by-man exploitation, it is impossible to rely on temporary concessions, consoling ourselves by social illusions. Our Trade Union Association of Bohemia, Moravia & Silesia offers its expression of the deepest solidarity, empathy and support to the 24 steelworkers, to be unjustly sentenced by the capitalist justice.  

Again, it has been confirmed, that the bourgeoisie as well as its power tools stick to the violence in explosive situations, with no restraint in using any ways to maintain their rule and both economical and political influences. The capitalist society is composed of the classes. It is just the bourgeoisie as the class, who doesn´t hesitate to use its tolls of the class struggle whenever. When the working class or another employees use these tools, they are persecuted for. That´s why there is a deep sense to continue in our class-orientated trade union movement´s work.

Just for this reason, the Trade Union Association of Bohemia, Moravia & Silesia sharply protests against the processing of Greek Justice, against this unjust sentencing of the steelworkers who have committed nothing but demanding their basic social rights. That´s why we express our deepest solidarity to your steelworkers, to all your sentenced workers as well as to the PAME in your fair struggle.

We strongly condemn the imprisonment sentence given to the steel workers who were leading the strike that has been on for months. We declare that we stand in solidarity with our comrades who are under attack. The sentencing of between 21 to 23 months of jail for 24 workers of the PAME which has been leading the struggle of thousands of workers for ove 9 months is completely
unacceptable.

 We call on the Greek government and state officials to take necessary steps to revoke these jail sentences. The representative of the Greek bourgeoisie, the New Democracy – PASOK coalition, has long been the instrument of fascist oppression against the workers who have been rejecting more hunger, poverty and exploitation at the hands of liberal policies.

The Communist Party of Turkey expresses its solidarity with the working class of Greece which has a glorious history of struggle and past victories against much bigger liberal and fascist attacks.

UITBB strongly condemns the court decision to sentence 24 fighting steel workers in prison for 21-23 months. We demand before the Greek Government – start negotiation with PAME to settle the long pending demands of struggling steel workers of Greece and take immediate action to cancel the court decision.

UITBB expresses its full solidarity with the struggling steel workers and conveys our comradely salute to them. Comrades you are a burning lamp before the struggling working class of the world. Your struggle is our struggle. UITBB is sure that you will be victorious in your struggle.
