The Executive Secretariat of PAME welcomes the thousands strikers who overcame all obstacles, all difficulties, threats and intimidations and took part in the National General Strike. The thousands of workers, unemployed, women, young workers, pensioners, small farmers, self-employed, who gave dynamic and militant message with their participation to the more than 60 rallies of PAME all over Greece.

During the strike demonstrations were read the messages of support from many trade unions all over the world. Also a delegation of USA trade unionists of WFTU took part in the demonstration of Athens.

The December 3 massive strike demonstrations of PAME are a continuation of the General Strike of November 12. They show the path forward, for escalation of the struggle. To protect Social Security, pensions, healthcare and not to turn them into merchandise available only for few.

PAME calls every trade union to continue campaigning decisively in the working class for the need to organize the struggle, to defend social security rights, protect pensions, to demand the reinstatement of all losses that we suffered the previous years. We must respond to the new offensive that is being prepared against salaries and against the liberalization of massive layoffs.

PAME calls all workers to join their unions, to fight in every sector and workplace. Within the fight lays the real hope that can stop antiworkers measures, win, change today’s negative correlation of forces, to lose the chains of exploitation, to have development that will only serve the people’s needs.

We Call The Workers And The Unions In Constant Alert
