On Monday, June 13, PAME hosted a meeting of Athens Trade Unions and National Federations on the 17th World Trade Union Congress, its importance and goals.
In the meeting took part comrade George Mavrikos, General Secretary of the WFTU, who informed about the conditions, during which the 17th World Trade Union Congress is to take place, the importance of its location, in South Africa with the long, heroic trade union history and the need to strengthen internationalism and solidarity.
On behalf of the Executive Secretariat of PAME was highlighted the continuous support to WFTU from the class trade union movement of Greece, the support and solidarity that the Greek movement has received from the WFTU, the importance of the 16th Congress, which was hosted in Athens, as well as the need to support the preparations for the Congress in South Africa.
