KAVALA OIL Stop Repression Against Workers Now

Δημοσιεύτηκε στις

PAME denounces the continuing authoritarianism and repression against the struggling workers of KAVALA OIL.

Yesterday, December 21, Riot Police forces raided the Oil Refinery using flash grenades inside an OIL refinery with huge danger of fire and explosion. The raid took place in order to break the protest of the workers, who fight to secure their jobs and their rights against the new management. During the raid the police arrested 17 workers and unionists.

This morning in the Courts of Kavala, police forces again attacked with tear gas against the workers who expressed their support and solidarity to the colleagues who were arrested

Violence and repression – with a serious risk to human life – is the Government-Employers’ response to the workers who fight for their right to work!

INTIMIDATIONS WILL NOT PASS

The people of Kavala gave a massive response yesterday with big rally demonstrations. Trade unions from all over Greece stand by the side of the struggling workers.

The Government has enormous responsibilities for this development.

WE DEMAND

NOW TO WITHDRAW THE RIOT POLICE FORCES that are like occupation forces in the city of Kavala

NOW ALL THOSE ARRESTED TO BE BE RELEASED AND ALL THE CHARGES AGAINST THEM TO BE DROPPED

We call on all unions, even more massively, even more resolutely to express their support and solidarity with the fair struggle of the workers in KAVALA OIL
