The International Action Day Against Privatizations of the Trade Union International of Public Services (TUI PS& A) of the WFTU was celebrated with events and demonstrations in a series of countries.

Demonstrations and events took place in many countries of Europe and Asia, while in Europe, where PAME is coordinator of the TUI PS, took place a preparatory meeting of European Trade Unions in Brussels, organized by PAME and the TUI PS.

In Europe, events and demonstrations were held in Italy, Rome and Milan, Spanish State, Galicia, Bilbao, San Sebastian and other cities, in Czech Republic, Sweden, Cyprus and Portugal. While in Greece, as there is workers’ strike in Public Sector on April 7, PAME carried out campaigns and mobilizations in workplaces, which led to a Meeting on the subject “Social Security and privatization” with the participation of trade unions and trade union leaders from the Public Sector.
