The Hotel, Tourism, Catering Workers’ Union of Athens, Greece expresses its solidarity with the struggle of the hotel workers of USA, who have been on strikes and militant actions the last period demanding increases in wages and hiring of more workers to stop the intensification of work in every hotel.

Dear colleagues, we stand by you in your fair struggle.

Also, in Greece hotel workers, we also face rough conditions due to the great intensification of work and low wages that are not sufficient to cover even our basic needs. While flexible employment contracts and outsourcing, increase our insecurity for the future.

But even under this negative correlation, we organize, we strengthen our union, we demand better working conditions, and we have achieved victories.

In this situation your struggle gives us courage to continue to fight with greater determination for better working conditions, for steady work and higher wages.
