PAME struggles for the increase of the participation of women in the trade unions, to defend the remaining rights and to struggle for their extension.

The Women Secretariat of PAME has issued a booklet on the rights of working women as a part of this effort.

On the initiative of PAME Women Secretariat and with the participation of working and unemployed women from several sectors, an event took place where the problems that the working women face in several sectors and workplaces were discussed. The difficulties that the young women have to deal with for the creation of a family were also discussed.

In the event it was decided to organize the participation of women in the demonstration organized by PAME on July 11 in Athens against the new measures that the government is planning to take together with troika.
