COSCO Dockers’ Union from Piraeus, Greece (ENEDEP union) stands in solidarity with US East Coast Dockworkers who are demanding Collective Bargaining Agreements with increased wages and job protection, going on strike for the first time after decades
Fellow dock workers in the US under pressure from rising living costs are going on strike, while employers are hoarding and hoarding their profits. The strike of the dock workers proves in practice that without the workers NOTHING MOVES and for this reason the employer and government centers of the USA and of the whole world are moving earth and heaven to stop the mobilizations.
All over the world it is becoming obvious that the employer and the governments tremble before the organized struggle of the workers. It is worth noting that a large percentage of the responsibility for the negative situation of the workers lies with many American unions since for years they put obstacles in the development of struggles and claims, cultivate the logic of class cooperation, social dialogues, inaction and delegation.
From the port of Piraeus and the Container terminal of IKONIO we support the fair struggle of the US dockworkers. No one alone fighting against injustice and war against those who want us slaves from one end of the world to the other. With organization and struggle we can emerge victorious!
