Dear brothers and sisters,

First of all, we would like to express our deep sorrow due to the demise of a 45-year-old worker at COSCO Docks in Piraeus. It’s clear that this is a premeditated murder committed by the employers’ greediness for more and more interest. Our worker brother was literally killed by the employer due to the lack of health and safety measures. We unfortunately see the same killings that could have been prevented easily in all over the world.

On behalf of the working class of Turkey and Nakliyat-İş Union, we express our solidarity with the workers of COSCO who are on strike under the leadership of their union ENEDEP. We also express our sincere condolences to the working class of Greece.

The unity of workers shall overcome!
