The Workers Union Coalition rejects the daily pursuit of workers from the Israeli army and demands to fight all forms of brokering and fraud practiced against our Palestinian workers
In the statement of the Workers Union Coalition in Palestine this morning, it was considered that the daily and early morning stalking of Palestinian workers is nothing but one of the tools of Israeli extortion of our workers and a new cycle of tightening the screws on workers and preventing them from going to their jobs in the Israeli labor market. The Syndical Coalition indicated that workers are being closed and prohibited at all entrances to the towns of Anin, al-Taybah, Barta’a, Zebda, and Rumana in the Jenin governorate, Qafin, Zita, and Shaarawiyah in Tulkarm, al-Zawiya and Masha, and the neighboring villages in Salfit governorate and many Palestinian villages adjacent to the wall where the army is periodically deployed to them and they return workers and release A hail of rubber and live bullets on them to prevent them from reaching their livelihood. The army has also closed many of the openings through which Palestinian workers pass, which constitute one of the main ports for workers.
The Secretary-General of the Syndical Coalition, Muhammad Araqawi, confirmed that hundreds of workers are prevented every day from entering and returning to their homes without work, which means that material losses are increasing in light of this prohibition and these provocative acts. Araqawi considered that workers who pay more than 30% of their wages to permit offices are too high. At a time when he calls on the responsible authorities to try to strengthen the labor market and provide job opportunities for Palestinian workers within the available resources. The Trade Union Coalition called on all Palestinian workers to raise awareness of their rights and duties to protect them from exploitation, especially workers inside the Green Line, especially in the field of work injuries and the wages due to them, and to combat all forms of fraud and fraud by some employers
