Strike of Metalworkers in Piraeus

On 9 June 2020 the metalworkers with their Trade Union went on strike in Piraeus port  after the death of 35 year old worker during a new labor accident in the repairing of a ship in Piraeus as there were no safety measures and workers were on duty for more than 4 days without any break. 

 Ιn a symbolic gesture, the strikers held a coffin in their hands and wrote at the entrance of the ministry the following slogan: “No more blood of workers on the altar of profit of shipowners.”
