PAME and the Union of Metal Workers of Athens and Shipbuilding Industry of Greece express their class solidarity and welcomes the great achievement of the Turkish metal workers who signed a new Sectoral Collective Agreement, going against the employers and the government.

While the employers had already announced a “lock out” and the Turkish government, as the representative of Turkey’s Industrialists of Metal, prohibited Birlesik Metal Is Union and the 180,000 metal workers from going on strike on 2^nd February. Against the government’s prohibition, the Turkish metal workers were preparing to go on strike, in order to satisfy their demands.

During the negotiations for the signing of the Sectoral Collective Agreement, the metal workers demanded a two-year Collective Agreement with a 30% raise in their wages. The employers suggested a 3-year contract with a 3% raise. Then, they raised their offer to 6%.

The determination of the metal workers to continue the struggle and to go on with their mobilizations, despite the bans and obstacles of the employers, led the employers to accept a two-year Sectoral Collective Agreement with a 24% raise.

PAME and the Union of Metal Workers of Athens denounce the efforts of the Turkish government to block the struggles of the workers. Employers in Greece with the support of the SYRIZA – ANEL government are also imposing similar practices and methods.

 Atina Metal sendikası Türkiye Metal işçilerinin kazanımlarını selamlar!

Atina Metal sendikası ve Yunanistan Gemi inşa sanayisi sendikası Türkiye Metal işçilerinin patronlara karşı taviz vermeyen metal işçisinin ve bu mücadeleye önderlik eden Birleşik Metal-İş Sendikasının kazanımlarını selamlar!

2 Şubat ta 130 bin işçiyi ilgilendiren toplu sözleşmeler için grev kararı işverenler grev kararınakarşı lokavt kararı alması ve Türk Hükümetinin grevi “milli güvenliği tehdit ettiği’ gerekçesiyle yasaklamasına rahmen Birleşik metal iş sendikasının önçülüğünde işçilerin talep ve hakları için kararlı bir duruş sergilemiştir.

Metal İşverenleri Sendikasına (MESS) bağlı işverenler, Türk Metal, Birleşik Metal-İş ve Çelik-İş’in grev kararının ardından lokavt kararı vermiş, hükümet ise grevi yasaklamıştı. MESS, yasağın ardından sendikaları tek tek görüşmeye çağırarak teklifini 13,2’ye çekip 3 yıllık sözleşme dayatmasına devam etmişti. Sendikalar MESS’in teklifini reddetti.

Bütün yasak, baskı ve saldırılara rahmen işçilerin gösterdiği kararlı duruşu hak ve taleplerinin çoğunu bu toplu sözleşmeyle kazanmıştır.

Biz Atina Metal sendikası ve Yunanistan Gemi inşa sanayisi sendikası olarak Türk Hükemtinin patronlarla beraber işçilerin mücadelesini ve grev kararlarını yasaklamasını kınıyoruz. Bizler bu gibi praktikleri yakından tanıyoruz ülkemizde SIRIZA-ANEL hükümeti ve patronlar Yunanistanda işçilere karşı aynı metodu kulanıyorlar. Bundan bir yıl önce Birleşik metal iş sendikasının bizimle dayanışması çok önemliydi 9 ay mücadele sonucu toplu iş sözleşmesi imzalamıştık.

Birleşik Metal iş sendakasının mücadelesini ve kazanımlarını selamlar ve Dayanışma içinde olduğumuzu belirtmek isteriz.
