PAME took part in WFTU’s International Conference of Solidarity with the People of Syria, against the imperialist intervention and the attack against the people of Syria. The Conference, hosted by GFTU of Syria took place in Damascus at 13-14 of September with the participation of dozens of trade union organizations, from all continents.

PAME in its intervention spoke about the friendship among PAME and GFTU of Syria. It denounced the imperialist interventions, the hypocrisy of the European Union and its trade unionist mercenaries, like the ETUC. PAME condemned the position of all Greek Governments who align with NATO and the EU. PAME also highlighted the issue of the refugees and the solidarity of the class trade union movement of Greece to those who are uprooted from their homelands because of imperialist wars.

PAME stated that it will take up new initiatives for the refugees, as well as to promote the more massive expression of solidarity to the Syrian people by the Greek working class for the end of the imperialist intervention.
