PAME (All Workers Militant Front) that represents the class oriented trade union movement of Greece expresses its solidarity with the workers of Brazil for their General Strike on April 15 against the liberalization of outsourcing.
The international experience shows that today’s “slave markets” are called outsourcing companies and are used all over the world by the capitalists to divide workers, attack the collective contracts, cut wages and destroy the workers’ rights in Healthcare, Social Security and Education. It is a lie that outsourcing will help to reduce unemployment. In Greece the imposition of all the antiworkers reforms, the flexibility of working relations, wage cuts and the implementation of outsourcing went along with the rise of unemployment to 30%, while those who have jobs, are on 4hour contracts, with limited time contracts, half salaries, half lives. Outsourcing is one more way for the abolition of steady jobs and results in immense profits for the big capital, while it condemns workers to poverty and misery.
The only class response to this modern type of slavery is to fight for steady jobs for all workers. Fight for the abolition of flexible working relations and outsourcing. Fight for collective contracts for all workers, without exceptions.
PAME expresses its support and solidarity to the working class of Brazil and the Trade Union organisations of WFTU-FSM for the General Strike of April 15.
