PAME (All Workers Militant Front) that represents the class trade union movement of Greece expresses its support to the trade unions and the workers of France, to the victims of the attacks and their families for the brutal, terrorist attacks they suffered the last days.

Religious fanaticism, racism and fascism are notions hostile to the working class of all around the world.

The workers and the peoples’ movement during this difficult time must question “who benefits from such actions” and also, which political forces, governments and imperialist organisations supported, and even funded organisations like Al Qaeda.

In this difficult time, however, we witness a repetition of the terror-hysteria and the hypocrisy that followed the 9/11 in the USA. In all countries the political forces and the governments that have a leading role in imperialist interventions, wars and cultivating “ethnic differences” etc, they also have a leading role in calling for “unity against terrorism”, a terrorism, however, they also helped grow.

The workers’ experience, especially with the attack against social rights and liberties in the USA after the 9/11, demonstrates the need for the labour movement to be alert, ready to respond to any attempt of abolishing our democratic rights and liberties, to respond against racist and nationalist calls. At the same time to strengthen internationalist solidarity, the denunciation of imperialist interventions that are committed in the name of “the war on terror” and end in new bloodbaths. Already the European Union opened the debate for new actions against “dangerous individuals”. In Greece we have great experience on who are targeted as dangerous for the EU and the Capital, where every day trade unionists and fighters of the peoples’ movement are arrested and prosecuted for their trade union action.

PAME expresses its support to the trade union movement of France. Against religious fanaticism and terrorism of imperialism we respond with class unity and action. We are all class brothers!
