Nakliyat-İş Union strongly condemns the prosecution against the president of the ENEDEP Dockworkers Union and the Piraeus Labour Center.

This attack is not only directed against PAME and the Greek working class, but against the entire international working class movement.

The mobilization of the dockworkers in Piraeus last year—when they stood firm and blocked the shipment of bullets destined for the massacre of the Palestinian people—was a glorious act of workers’ solidarity written in the pages of class struggle history.

Now, the mechanisms of imperialism and their servants are trying to silence this voice of resistance.

The Greek government and its so-called “justice system” act in full alignment with the war plans of the USA, NATO, and the EU.

While workers are crushed under poverty, those in power criminalize trade union action and solidarity in order to serve the dirty interests of imperialism.

The same policies of repression and intimidation are imposed on workers in Turkey and across the world.

Nakliyat-İş Union declares clearly:

The struggle of the Palestinian people is the struggle of the world’s working class!
The brave stand of PAME and ENEDEP is our struggle as well!

We will continue to fight side by side against imperialist wars, Zionist massacres, and all attempts to silence the voice of workers.

Class solidarity knows no borders.

We demand the immediate withdrawal of all prosecutions and the abolition of all reactionary laws that criminalize trade union activity and internationalist solidarity.
