Great success of the Students’ movement in Greece!

Published on

After 2 years of massive, unwavering struggles with the support and solidarity of the workers’ class movement the students’ movement forced the Greek Government to cancel its plans to impose “University Police”.

This is a powerful response to state oppression and authoritarianism and was a result of the continuous, uncompromising struggles of the youth, with the support of the class unions. Great influence to these developments was the success of the militant forces of the students to change the correlation inside the Students Unions with the victory of PKS list in students’ elections in Greece, overcoming the list supported by the Greek Government.

This development is also a great response to the forces that throughout this period cultivated the logic of inaction, of waiting, of defeatism and slandered students’ struggles.
