Dear Comrades of PAME,

On behalf of Nakliyat-İş Trade Union and all our members, I extend our warmest militant and fraternal greetings to PAME and to all the workers, pensioners, farmers, students and trade unions who will gather in Thessaloniki on Saturday, September 5.

We wholeheartedly support your struggle against the anti-worker economic policies of the government and your just demands for wage and pension increases, the extension of Collective Bargaining Agreements, and the restoration of the 13th and 14th salaries for public-sector workers and pensioners.

Your demands for urgent measures against the soaring cost of living, stronger free public healthcare and education, and effective occupational health and safety measures against workplace deaths express the urgent needs of the working class and the people.

We also stand in solidarity with your struggle against the involvement of Greece in the war policies of NATO and the European Union, and with your demand that public resources be allocated to the social needs of the people rather than to military and war expenditures.

At a time when workers and peoples are being forced to pay the price of economic crises, militarism and imperialist wars, the united and organized struggle of the working class is more necessary than ever.

We wish great success to PAME and to all those who will fill HANTH Square in Thessaloniki at 17:30 tomorrow.

Your struggle is our struggle.
