INDUSTRIALL- Servants of the Monopoliesand Enemies of the Workers

In recent days, workers have been confronted daily with the announcements of large multinational groups for layoffs, wage cuts, attacks on workers’ rights.

A typical example is the multinational RENAULT, which is funded with billions by the French Government, while announcing thousands of layoffs. In the face of this attack, the French workers had huge demonstrations demanding No Layoffs.

At this time, the mechanism of multinationals in the unions called INDUSTRIALL appeared with a text on June 4th(http://www.industriall-union.org/global-agreement-with-renault-must-entail-negotiation-of-restructuring) entitled “Global agreement with Renault must entail negotiation of restructuring”. With this text, at a time when thousands of workers are mobilizing to protect their jobs, INDUSTRIALL is advertising the “good relations” it has with the multinational, noting:

“The world works council at Renault has been active for more than a decade, and now has the chance to take transnational social dialogue to the next level..

This requires a three-fold approach: regular consultations with the steering committee of the world works council, transparency, and constructive dialogue and bargaining at national level in all countries affected by the restructuring with full involvement of the respective unions.

This is another devastating blow for the industry, but if the commitments of the agreement are followed, the negative impact can be reduced, and we can ensure that the restructuring is carried out in a socially responsible way.”

In other words, the leaders of INDUSTRIALL say provocatively that if RENAULT uses them for social dialogue, the layoffs will take place with fewer reactions.

Throughout their announcement, they do not say a bit just for the pretexts that they oppose the layoffs of the multinational. Except that “restructuring (= layoffs) should be done in a socially responsible way”.

They are dangerous and enemies of the workers.

They are paid by the multinationals to corrupt and incapacitate trade unions
