PAME responds to the Greek Government’s Attack on Social Security

Δημοσιεύτηκε στις

On Thursday, February 6, PAME and the class unions gave a strong, militant response to government’s plans against Social Security.

The government of ND, based on the policies imposed by SYRIZA, is opening the path for the complete privatization of workers’ social security, and also is planning on cutting pensions and increasing the retirement age limits.

With 7 demonstrations in the Attica region, Athens and neighboring areas and in many more cities all over Greece, the class unions called the workers to participate in the General National Strike of February 18.

In the center of Athens the unions demonstrated inside the commercial-tourist center, where the majority of workers are young and work with the worst working conditions and lowest salaries.
