PAME Statement on NATO Secretary General’s visit to Athens

Now the struggle for the disengagement of our country from the imperialist war must be intensified. We have no business in this slaughterhouse of peoples. Enormous are the responsibilities of the government and other parties that support NATO and turn our country into an American-NATO base that sows death and destruction. Our people are also being targeted to serve NATO commitments and the profits of business groups.

They should leave our country. Our people don’t want them.

NATO promotes the interests of capital in a number of countries in the world. The presence of the NATO Secretary General in our country is not for the benefit, for the interests of the Greek people.

It is a factor of insecurity for all peoples. The settlements in the Aegean and the Cyprus problem, Turkey’s greater attachment to the NATO chariot in competition with Russia, China and their allies. All this will bring suffering to our people and to all peoples.

No land nor water for the murderers of the peoples.

We call on all trade unions to denounce the presence of the NATO Secretary General in our country.

We demand:

  • Greece out of the war.
  • Close the US-NATO bases.
  • Stop the military missions outside our country.
  • No support for the killer state of Israel.
  • Stop all aid to the Zelensky regime now.
