On 4 and 5 June, PAME paid a two-day visit to Denmark after an invitation of the local trade unions.

On Tuesday 4 June, PAME was in Aalborg where it visited workplaces, had a meeting with the leadership of the 3F trade union in the city and greeted a meeting with trade unionists from different sectors.

On Wednesday, 5 June PAME met with the 3F BJMF Copenhagen union, participated in a meeting with trade unionists from different sectors and greeted at the event organised by the unions.

A special moment was PAME’s meeting with Greek migrants in Denmark and the newly founded 3F Greek Club of Hospitality workers, which with its rich activity is a reference point for Greek migrants in Denmark, especially for young migrant workers.

PAME’s delegation also participated together with Danish trade unionists in the solidarity mobilisation for Palestine organised in front of the Copenhagen City Hall.

On behalf of the PAME Secretariat, NiKolas Theodorakis thanked the Danish trade unions for their support to the struggles of the Greek workers. He welcomed their initiatives of solidarity with Palestine as well as the recent struggles of Danish and migrant workers for equal wages and rights. At the same time, the call for a common struggle against the EU and the forces that serve it in every country was warmly received, stressing the need for mass, militant, class-oriented trade unions with multiform action on all issues concerning the life of the working class.
