75th Anniversary of Nakba – We stand with the Palestinian People until Victory!

Published on

PAME, on 15 May 2023, the 75th anniversary of Nakba, expresses the firm support of the militant trade unions of Greece to the just struggle of the Palestinian People for a Free and Independent Palestine on the borders of 1967.

The 15th of May 1948, Nakba, the Day of Destruction, marked the beginning of the uprooting of over 760,000 Palestinians, who were driven away from their homes when, following Israel’s attack, 415 Palestinian villages were completely destroyed and over 10,000 Palestinians were killed and tens of thousands were wounded, forcing Palestinians to become refugees.

75 years later the Israeli violence and occupation continues with the cover and support of the USA-NATO, the European Union and all the Greek Governments who have become the best allies of the Israeli-Murderer State.

In the first 4 months of 2023 alone, Israel has murdered 95 Palestinians while daily are the incidents of brutality and escalating violence aimed at expanding settlements and uprooting even more Palestinians from their homes.

The provocative support of Governments and imperialist organisations for the murderous state of Israel is also promoting its aggression in the wider region against the neighboring Arab countries, with the victims once again being the peoples.

Against the plans of the imperialists, the workers stand with the heroic people of Palestine. We commemorate the 75th anniversary of Nakba by strengthening the struggle against the wars of the imperialists. Strengthening solidarity for the creation of a single independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital on the 1967 borders!
