Our struggle for Collective Agreements with wage increases and modern rights is a common struggle
The All-Workers Militant Front (PAME) from Greece expresses its solidarity with the Starbucks workers in the United States and with your union, which continues the battle for a Collective Agreement. For four years now, your struggle in one of the most recognizable companies worldwide has been an inspiration for workers everywhere.
We stand firmly by your side against the intransigence of Starbucks management, defending your right to collective organization and trade union action. We support every militant initiative your union takes for the signing of a CBA with wage increases that meet your needs and secure your rights.
In Greece as well, workers in the Food – Tourism sector, through their unions, are waging the same struggle for the signing of Collective Agreements, demanding wage increases, reduction of working hours, and new hires to put an end to the exhausting work intensification.
On October 1st, the unions of Greece will go on strike against the government’s plan to pass a law implementing an EU directive that gives employers the right to impose 13-hour working days. This policy is part of the war economy, channeling €850 billion to the wars of the EU and NATO, to the slaughter of peoples, including the people of Palestine.
The unions demand a 7-hour day, 5-day week, 35-hour workweek, Collective Agreements with wage increases for all sectors. Our struggle against exploitation, for the working people in the 21st century to enjoy the wealth we produce, is common: from the USA to Greece.
In the era of artificial intelligence and the enormous growth of labour productivity, workers can and must work less, be paid more, and enjoy the results of our labor with more free and creative time.
The working class of Greece stands by your side and supports your just struggle!
