PAME Solidarity with the Secretary General of the CGT Commerce in France

Published on

PAME expresses its solidarity with the CGT Commerce of France, member of the WFTU, and its General Secretary of the, Amar Lagha, who is being persecuted by the multinational METRO for their militant, trade union action.

The CGT Commerce France denounced the employer’s intimidations and the persecution of workers-trade unionists members of the CGT Commerce by the METRO multinational. In response to the employer’s intimidations, the trade union took militant action in defense of the company’s workers.

The METRO multinational is attempting to escalate the climate of fear and intimidation by prosecuting the CGT Commerce General Secretary with false accusations of violence. In this context, and while the French authorities have not done anything about the multinational’s employer’s intimidations, they are summoning the General Secretary of CGT Commerce on 26 March.

In the face of employers’ intimidations, we respond with solidarity and strengthening of the struggle. The attack against one is an attack against all workers!

PAME expresses its solidarity with the trade unions and workers of France, the workers of METRO and the CGT Commerce.

We demand that the prosecution against the General Secretary of the CGT Commerce, Amar Lagha, be stopped immediately.

Stop the persecution of trade unionists!

Hands off the unions!

LONG LIVE SOLIDARITY!
