Timothée Esprit was dismissed a year ago by the Japanese multinational TORAY for expressing solidarity with the people of Palestine. His dismissal was aimed both at intimidating his colleagues and at stopping the militant actions developed by the FNIC CGT at the multinational.

A major struggle developed against the dismissal of the trade unionist, with mass mobilisations and expressions of solidarity both in France and internationally.

PAME from the first moment condemned the trade union persecution and expressed the support of the class trade unions of Greece to the FNIC CGT and Timothée Esprit.

Indeed, in the context of internationalist solidarity and friendship relations with PAME, the FNIC CGT participated with a delegation in the strike of 28 February in Athens, consisting of the General Secretary Serge Allegre and Timothée Esprit.

After 9 months of fighting, the courts have ruled in favor of our comrade Timothée ESPRIT and ordered TORAY-CFE to reinstate him! Dismissed for his commitment to the CGT and his support for the Palestinian cause, he was subjected to the relentlessness of a brutal, anti-union management.

This victory is one of solidarity and struggle! The FNIC CGT stands shoulder to shoulder with our comrades at TORAY, in the face of repression and in defense of our rights.
