May 1st is the day workers around the world commemorate the dead of their class, the heroic struggles and achievements of the labour movement, the non-stop struggle against capital. It is a symbol of the struggle for the abolition of exploitation of man by man. It is the day the world working class asserts its decision to continue the heroic path to the end, as a victory.
The exploitation system, the system of oppression has unleashed gods and demons to overcome the crisis in its favour, loading all the burdens on the backs of the working class, the popular strata, the youth, destroying productive forces and first of all, destroying the main productive force, man. The layoffs, the shut down of factories, mass poverty, are more proves that there is no pro-people way out of the crisis. No submission, no indulgence in this barbarism. With this decision we honor this year´s Mayday.
NO GEAR TURNS WITHOUT YOU, WORKER YOU CAN MAKE IT WITHOUT BOSSES
We can live better. The setback in living and working conditions of previous decades is not the realism of the time. 126 years after the Mayday in Chicago, we do not deserve poverty, misery, unemployment, working from sunrise till sunset, to make ends meet. We produce all the wealth and it belongs to us.
•To strengthen now the struggle for collective agreements, which will prevent the slaughter of wages and salaries.
•To strengthen the organized opposition against the head fines and the excessive taxes, with the demand to abolish them.
To expand popular disobedience to the privatization of education and healthcare
To abolish the so called “solidarity” head fine, which is to be paid through electricity bills.
To create a strong grid with effective protection measures for the unemployed, for the relief of highly indebted households, so that they can “breathe” and not be led to poverty.
•To stop the new crime of the cutting of pensions and abolition of insurance rights.

with the heroic struggle of the steel workers
The workers in Greek Steel Industry have been on strike for over six months. They refused to yield to modern misery. They raised a front against flexible working hours, against wages of 500 euro, terrorism and mass layoffs. They show the way!
The best solidarity with the struggle of the striking steel workers is for workers and unions to follow their example in companies and industries. Each workplace to become a castle of resistance.
WORKERS GO AHEAD, UNITED, DESTROY MEMORANDA AND BOSSES
Today rage is not enough. Offensive struggles are needed; struggles which will not try to reconcile the interests of the employers to the interests of the workers, but struggles which will make clear that in order for the workers to win, employers must lose. Struggles which will strengthen the demands of workers for a decent life, based on their contemporary needs and the wealth they produce. A line of struggle is demanded, in conflict with the governmental and employer lead trade unionism, with the sold-out leaderships of GSEE and ADEDY which are constantly engaging the workers in social dialogues. To turn our backs to the monopoly groups, the ruling class and its political representatives.
The action of PAME, of the class forces, of the popular movement is a thorn on the side of plutocracy and its political parties. The line of disobedience and indiscipline scares them. They are afraid of the line that calls workers and youth to fight so that they will not become part of a problem they have not created. They are afraid of the line which says that the capital, the employers, the bourgeois state, which operates to serve the interests of capital, must pay the crisis.
MAY 1st calls us to see more clearly the fundamental contradiction of capital and labour. On the one hand, the increasing socialization of labour, the production of unimaginable wealth, the rapid development of technology and the on the other hand a handful of capitalists taking ownership of all that wealth, delivering poverty and misery to the vast popular majority. They defend an outdated, rotten system, which cannot be corrected, which cannot be humanized. The capitalist road of development will bring only suffering and misery to the working class, to the people. Capitalists are terrified they will lose their power, their profits. They fear more than anything else the power of the workers.
There is a way out! To walk in the way of peoples’ alliance. This is the way to change the current negative correlation of power. This is the way to throw the shackles of exploitation, to overthrow the dictatorship of the monopolies clothed with the mantle of bourgeois parliamentary democracy, European Union. To draw our own path of development that will have as only motive to satisfy people´s contemporary needs. This is the path of People´s Power and Popular Economy.
