The murderous state of Israel is escalating the genocide of the Palestinian people, launching the new offensive operation “Chariots of Gideon II.” With the support of the USA, the EU, and NATO, it seeks to complete the barbarity in Gaza.

Israel’s crimes have taken on horrifying dimensions. Gaza City has been leveled. The images from the ground invasion of the Israeli army shock the world: dismembered children under the rubble, entire families wiped out, a ghost city reminiscent of Guernica. The death toll rises by the hour from the relentless bombardment, as the massacre continues without end.

By Tuesday morning, 370,000 people out of roughly 1 million inhabitants had been forced to flee Gaza City. Just yesterday, at least 106 people were murdered, 91 of them inside Gaza City itself. At the same time, Israeli aggression is escalating in the West Bank as part of a broader attempt to annihilate and uproot the Palestinian people.

These apocalyptic images are a slap in the face to those who continue to speak of Israel’s so-called “right to self-defense” and who support genocide but with “rules.” The support provided by the Greek government to the murderous state of Israel is criminal. The parties that back the “strategic alliance with Israel,” NATO, and the policies of the USA–EU, those who vote for the budgets of the war economy have “blood on their hands.”

We condemn the role of the USA, the EU, and NATO, who by every means political, military, economic, support and arm the murderous state. They are the ones emboldening Israel to slaughter the Palestinian people, to level entire cities, to proceed with mass expulsions. It is no coincidence that the new invasion of Gaza began only one day after the meeting of the US Secretary of State with Netanyahu, confirming the open complicity and backing of the American government in this crime.

At this moment, no one can remain silent, everyone must choose a side.

We call on all trade unions to denounce this new crime and to express solidarity with the Palestinian people.

·         End now the murderous offensive of the Israeli state against the long-suffering and heroic Palestinian people.

·         End all support and cooperation with the murderous state of Israel.

·         Implement immediately the 2015 decision of the Greek Parliament to recognize the Palestinian state.

We stand firmly by the side of the Palestinian people and their just struggle against Israeli occupation until they win their own independent homeland, within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
