Solidarity with the persecuted trade unionist Timothee Esprit

PAME expresses its solidarity with the trade unionist Timothee Esprit, member of the leadership of FNIC CGT France, who was laid off because of his solidarity with the people of Palestine.

The FNIC CGT is calling for a big protest on Wednesday 8 January, in the city of Pau, demanding the withdrawal of the dismissal and an end to the persecution of trade union action.

The genocide in Gaza, by the murderous state of Israel, is being carried out with the support of the US-NATO-EU, governments and companies that are trying in every way to silence any voice that opposes the crime.

Trade unions and unionists fighting for peace and expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people are targeted, slandered, attacked and persecuted in every way throughout the world.

The dismissal of the trade unionist Timothee Esprit is an attack on trade unions fighting for wage increases and the protection of labour rights. It is an attack on the trade unions that are resisting the imperialists’ plans and wars for peace for the peoples.

We strengthen our solidarity with the people of Palestine!

We support the trade unionists who are being persecuted for their action!
