The bodies of 112 Palestinians have been recovered from the rubble in Gaza’s Sabra neighbourhood. Among them were 40 children, 38 women and seven people with disabilities. Entire families have been wiped out by the murderous attacks of the occupying State of Israel from October 2023 to this day. Thousands of people remain buried beneath the rubble of their homes.

The murderous State of Israel continues to escalate its crimes: in Gaza, through bombs, starvation, blockade and displacement; in the occupied West Bank, through daily settler attacks. This is an organized plan to uproot the Palestinian people, carried out with the support and protection of the occupying army.

During 2026, more than six attacks resulting in casualties or property damage have been recorded every day. These include killings, beatings, the burning of homes, the destruction of crops, the theft of livestock and the seizure of land. Hundreds of Palestinians have been injured and thousands driven from their homes. Illegal settlements, violence and terror are all part of a single plan to annex the West Bank.

This ongoing crime bears the stamp of the USA, NATO and the EU. It also bears the signatures of successive Greek governments led by SYRIZA, New Democracy and PASOK, which have elevated the child-killing State of Israel into a “strategic ally” of our country.

All the parties of capital have blood on their hands and are complicit in this horror. Neither SYRIZA nor Tsipras’s party has the right to appear today behind a “peace-loving” mask.

The SYRIZA–ANEL government, together with Netanyahu, inaugurated the Greece–Cyprus–Israel trilateral alliance and dramatically expanded military, energy and business agreements with the murderous state. It paved the way that today’s New Democracy government follows with even greater zeal, strengthening military, political and economic cooperation with Israel in the interests of business groups and the war plans of the USA, NATO and the EU in the Middle East.

Workers have nothing to gain from alliances with the murderers of the peoples. We will not become accomplices or links in the chain of their wars. Our place is alongside the Palestinian people and all peoples, in the common struggle against occupation, imperialist war and capitalist exploitation.

On 30 October, dockworkers from 40 ports across Europe and the Mediterranean will unite in a new international day of action against imperialist war, the genocide of the Palestinian people and the transformation of ports into military bases for the USA, NATO and the EU.

Their initiative shows the way! No port, airport, railway or other infrastructure at the disposal of the murderers! The infrastructure and wealth we produce must serve the people’s needs—not war and their profits!

There can be no compromise with this horror! We will not allow the crime to be forgotten! We will not allow the massacre of the Palestinian people to become just another news story buried in the back pages!

Now is the time to multiply trade-union initiatives in solidarity with the heroic Palestinian people and strengthen the struggle against our country’s involvement in war and against the profits built on the blood of the peoples!
